Big Bike Success:
LOLCS staff and volunteers raised over $2500.00 for Heart & Stroke. On May 12, approximately 23 people rode the Big Bike on behalf of our organization. The mood was sunny even though the weather was damp. For those who may think the bike operates with a motor, wrong! It’s pedal power all the way.
Adult Protective Services Zoo trip:
Participants of the Adult Protective Services program travelled to the Metro Toronto Zoo on May 16. Once again, the weather was damp but spirits were not. Everyone had a great time although maybe a little tired from all the walking!
Summer Community Bus Trips:
The community bus will be busy this summer. There are a number of trips planned to various locations; be sure to mark these dates on your calendar. Bancroft June 15, Pembroke June 29, Belleville July 13, Picton July 27, Kingston August 10, and Renfrew August 24. The cost is $10.00/person. To book a seat call Peggy at 336-8736 or Kay at 333-2731.
