It is not uncommon for those who frequent the Point Park or Boat Launch in Sydenham to observe young and old water skiers making waves and walls on Sydenham Lake.  This collection of water skiers range in age from 4-to-65 have been learning the sport and having some fun.  This year a last-minute decision was made to enter some of the athletes into the Canadian Water Ski Back-to-School Slalom.  This race was sanctioedn by Water Ski and Wake Board Canada and featured some National Team members and junior Canadian Champions

Representing South Frontenac were JJ Peck (16), Jacob Nelder (13), Sawyer O’Neil (11) and Wes Trousdale (10).  All of them achieved personal bests at their first sanctioned event, achieved top 3 finishes, and are now nationally ranked water-skiers.  Cheering these athletes on were a collection of parents and siblings including the next generation of water skiers
