Remains Found Near Parham Identified as Scott Judge

Rumours started flying as soon as human remains were found by hunters near Raymo Road in the Hinchinbrooke Disrict of Central Frontenac on Friday, November 13.

Six years and two weeks earlier, on November 1, 2003, some clothing and papers belonging to Judge, then 38, were found in the same vicinity. Since searches for him at that time had not yielded any results, thoughts immediately turned to that earlier event.

It turned out the remains were those of Scott Judge, as was confirmed by a forensic lab in Toronto on Wednesday of last week (November 18). Police consider the death suspicious, adding that Judge had been known to them prior to his disappearance in 2003.

When Judge's belongings were found in November of 2003, police were surprised to learn that no one had seen Judge since early September of that year but no missing person’s report had been filed.

Scott Judge's family has a cottage on Elbow Lake, which they frequent in the summer months.
