Sharbot Lake cottager and cyclist for 20 years, I cannot say enough about the groomed paths available to cyclists and residents alike. The attention and effort (i.e., money) the township expends to maintain these paths speaks to its concern for its residents, and for this I am extremely grateful.
I was stopped recently by 3 path users who insisted on showing me a short-lived rarity - (endangered) lady-slipper flowers in full bloom. They were the most-friendly people one could want to meet, and from our experience, are typical of Sharbot Lake residents. Thanks big time guys, you made my day! (one of them gave me a small pocket knife, a souvenir I will cherish). An experience I do not expect to live long enough to repeat here in town (Ottawa).
