At Scarborough and Rouge Hospital on Sunday May 21, 2017 Hazel (Short) of Harlowe in her 87th year.  Daughter of the late George & Ellen (Davidson) Short.  Wife of the late James Cuddy.  Mother of Ken (Joanne), Harlowe, Karen (Paul) Ware, Toronto and the late James Jr.  Sister of Mary Frank, Phyllis Dillman, Jimmy Short, Charlie Short,  and the late Arnold, Albert, Clayton, Ralph, George Short, Ruth Dean & Ellen Leeder.  Loved by her 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends at the McConnell Funeral Home, Tweed from 7-9 Thursday May 25, 2017 and from 9:00 am  Friday until time of service at 11:00 am.  Interment: Harlowe United Church Cemetery.  Donations:  Pine Meadow Nursing Home or Scarborough and Rouge Hospital. www.mcconnellfuneralhome.ca
