Passed away, at the Lennox and Addington County Hospital in Napanee on Monday, January 8, 2024, after a brief illness. Thomas Edward Hughes of Arden at age 94. Beloved husband of June (Steele) and dear father of Heather (David) of Arden and loving grandfather of Thomas (Alexandra) of Bath; Elizabeth (Russell) of Emsdale; Alexander (Rachel) of Mountain Grove and Lily of Arden. Good friend of Dale Hartwick. Brother of Jean Sadler (late Gordon) and predeceased by siblings Eileen Butcher, Gwen See and Ronald Hughes and by his parents Amos and Eva (Miller). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. The family received friends at the Hannah Funeral Home, in Tamworth (613-379-2997) on Sunday afternoon, January 14 from 1-3 p.m. A Masonic Service was held at 3 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday, January 15 at 11 a.m. Spring interment Arden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arden United Church or the L&A County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
