Joan passed away peacefully, at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, June 28, 2024. Cherished wife of 42 years to Dave Moore. Proud and loving mother of Kim (Eric) Tandy, Kevin (Rhonda) VanNess and adored step-mother of David (Rose) Moore. Pre-deceased by her son Richard VanNess. Special Grandma of Erin (Ed), Jessica (Chris), Marisa (Stephanie), Jake and “GG” of Emily, Amelia, Blake, Elliott, Ewan and Zach. Joan will be forever missed by her sister Shirley (Jim) Norris. Pre-deceased by her brother Allan (late Anita) Thompson. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and family at the Arden Legion. Cremation has taken place with Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook.
A Celebration of Life for Joan will take place at the Arden Legion on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 1-4pm.
*please feel free to place a small momento with Mom’s Urn in her Time Capsule for burial.
