Passed away peacefully at the Lennox & Addington General Hospital on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Loving wife of 68 years to Larry Thompson and adored mother of Terry (Bonnie) Thompson, Karen (Craig) Luxton and Kim (Red) Johnson. She will always be cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doreen will be sadly missed by her sister Muriel (Ron) Rosenplot. Pre-deceased by her brother Gordon Wood and survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Wood. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

The family will receive friends at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 1-4pm. Her urn will be laid to rest in the Flinton Cemetery at a later date.
