July 29th 1963 - October 18th 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Richard (Rick) McQueen on Friday, October 18th 2024.
Rick was a loving husband to Lisa McQueen, a devoted father to Lisa (Ryan), Michelle (Jimmy), Katie (Michael), and Chantel (Ricky). A proud step father to Eric and Dan(Kate). A very cherished Poppa to Zachary, Marcus, Logan, Abigail, Gracie, Naomi, Rylan, Jayden, Leianah, Taylor, Dracen, Ariah, Zayla and Dominic.
He will be remembered by his Siblings Deborah (Alain), Susan (Jeff), Amanda (Raymond), Laura (Mark), Barbara (Wade), Boyd and Clinton. He will be missed by his many cousins nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his late father Jim McQueen (Marlene), his step father Alan Hamilton, and his late mother Mary Wilson.
Rick was known for his big sense of humor, his talent for getting a laugh with his instigating, and corny jokes. He was always happy hosting family and friends for a BBQ, or his favourite place, at the lake taking his grandchildren for a ride on the boat, throwing a line in the water and sharing a cold beer with friends.
His family would like to send a special thank you and their gratitude to his coworkers at trailcon for their quick thinking and action in their attempt for aid.
In keeping with Rick’s wishes cremation will take place. There will be no services, an intimate celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Rick will be deeply missed but never forgotten. He will forever live on in the hearts and memories of everyone who knew and loved him.
We hope where ever you are, your line is in the water and a Leafs game is on the TV.
