Early Tuesday afternoon (May 11) Frontenac OPP confirmed that the body of an 18-year old girl had been discovered in the vicinity of the Point Park in Sydenham.

A night and morning long search, making use of resources and personnel from the OPP and Southern Frontenac Fire department, had been conducted. Water rescue and a helicopter were part of the search.
