Stories at the Point returns to Sydenham

Connect with your community and enjoy the great outdoors. The Kingston Frontenac Public Library and Rural Frontenac Community Services EarlyON are bringing back their bi-weekly storytime, Stories at the Point, this June.

Wilderness Betty starts the fun on June 9 with a nature-infused folk concert kick-off at Sydenham Point (4410 Point Road, Sydenham) at 10:30 a.m.

But that's just the beginning! From June to September, families can come together for interactive events that include stories, songs, movement, and more on June 23, July 7, July 21, August 4, August 18 and September 1. Register at www.keyon.ca to guarantee a spot at these exciting events, and don't forget to bring blankets and sunscreen to make the most of the weather.

On July 21, join a special StoryWalk® that combines reading with the great outdoors. Participants can read the bilingual picture book Treasure by Mireille Messier while exploring the scenic trail. The book pages will be displayed along the way, and there will be related activities to participate in and learn something new.

“Stories at the Point is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, connect, and share a love of stories and reading,” said Brianne Peters, Librarian, Children’s Services. “It's a great way to spend a beautiful day outside!”
