Sydenham Legion Bass Tournament

Great day was had by all at Branch 496 Legion Bass Fishing Derby on 16 August 2025. It was yet another hot day but we had an awesome turnout. Congratulations to Tik Ostopovich who brought in the largest bass at 5lbs 3oz. Honorable mention goes to Walt Reynolds and Dustin Kellar who also brought in 5lb bass but just an ounce or 2 short. Tik is pictured here with his fish and sitting on his prize of a Pit Boss Ultimate Lift off Griddle purchased from Friendly Fires Kingston.

We really appreciate all the supportive businesses and individuals who helped make this event a success.

Lastly, huge thank you to all the bartenders and volunteers at the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. What's next - we currently have raffle tickets on a zero turn mower which maybe you don't need this year but it would look awesome in your garage or shed ready to go for next year. We have activities scheduled for this fall including live music and some great bands.
